The New Day comes to a lumberjack match with pancakes and Xavier Woods wearing a flannel vest…levels.
Rich Swann and Cedric Alexander must have somebody paid off. They’ve went over several teams in the past month while taking few bumps in doing so. Now they did get monkey stomped this week, but they still powered through to get a pinning victory. Oh, and these dudes are from two Black ass cities but are not the type of guys you would think of as being from those cities. I, for one, think that is pretty good.
On one hand, we did not have to sit through Sasha Banks losing yet another shot at the Women’s Title while secretly hoping that she’s moved away from the chase. On the other hand, she will possibly be involved in a program with Paige and the newly called up Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville.
Jason Jordan tried to boss up and challenge Triple H because he felt disrespected the prior week as he should. For his troubles, he was served up to Braun Strowman. Kane ended up causing JJ the match; it would be a great look if Jordan was the mastermind behind Kane’s attack. It would be (wink, wink).
The New Day is in this section? Well not because of anything they’re doing, of course. They are so hot that now we’re forced to watch them serve as tools to build heat on Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn as they try to rattle Shane McMahon’s grip on SmackDown Live. Daniel Bryan puts them in a Lumberjack match with the renewed best friends as an alternative to firing the duo.
The newly called up women most likely mean that Alicia Fox will be relegated to comedy relief again. I would love to be wrong on this, though. Feed us a legitimate Ms. Fox.
We got another throw away match in the Usos beef with America’s Greatest Tag Team. Shelton Benjamin scored the win this week. It seems that there is no direction in this package outside of giving Chad Gable some personality.
Ring of Honor easily had the cheesiest match of all this week. Shane “The Hired Gun” Taylor faced off with Cheeseburger in a Television Title qualification match. Cheese managed to slap the taste out of Taylor’s mouth several times before getting the expected squash.
