Black Wrestla’ Recap 6/22

The time for Ricochet’s title shot is here. It is so because he overcame Bobby Lashley, Braun Strowman, Cesaro, and the Miz.

R-Truth still making this 24/7 Title work; he and Carmella sat in on a match in disguise.

New Day continued the conflict with Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens, who was teamed with Baron Corbin for a 2-out of-3 match. Corbin gifted the New Day the win by forcing his partners to abandon him.

The defense of the WWE Title began with Xavier Woods taking an L from Dolph Ziggler in a one-on-one match.

Awesome Truth was renewed for one night in an elimination tag match; it was short-lived, too. Truth was eliminated with the quickness. Shortly after, he’d also lose the 24/7 Championship to Drake Maverick.

Ember Moon did do a little work to get back at Fire and Desire behind the scenes.

The second 2 out of 3 falls match in as many nights saw Kofi Kingston again, but he was joined by Seth Rollins to once again face off against Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens.

The road to all the gold in NXT goes through Velveteen Dream, and he didn’t seem to take too well to Undisputed Era’s goal. For his troubles, Dream was booked in six man tag match against UE. His mates, former opponents, Tyler Breeze and Matt Riddle were a recipe for some dysfunction. The ambitious Dream caused just that too.

Impact! Wrestling

In preparation for his match with RVD, Moose may see all the ECW Originals in action. Tommy Dreamer was first out the gate and first to defeat.

Playing the role of Dr. Jeff in Johnny Impact and Michael Elgin’s beef will be Rich Swann. Swann was seen a good bit to start the match, but when the focus shifted to Impact and Elgin, he was a bit ghost. Don’t fret though; Swann hit his signature splash just in time to close the show.
