There was a title robbery, a bitch slap, and one wrestler goes brown for the cause. Summer Slam and Destination X are approaching so we need to pick up the speed on some of our favorites.
Those Uso brothers have hit on something here. I’ve enjoyed all of their work since making this turn. They’re heels who welcome everyone to the prison yard but without going all Crime Time. It doesn’t take both teams involved in a feud to keep it going. Let’s get them to trolling opponents each week to get their rematch. Don’t sit on this WWE.
Ember Moon and Asuka out here showing up the male talent by clashing in street attire. No need to come down in ring attire when you’re only planning to talk. It seems more authentic for Ember to come down the ramp in a tee and jeans as if she was in the back when she heard somebody speak her name. Oh yeah, and she landed an Eclipse with the greatest of ease. Thank you EmBAE.
Dezmond Xavier (pronounced Zay-vee-ur I’m assuming) put on a fantastic show to advance in the Super X-Cup tourney. That Final Flash is pretty damn amazing and following the “X19” was just as pretty impressive as well. Now if ACH pulls a win this week, this will be a certified Fyah moment at Destination X.
Last week, I said Jason Jordan should be getting booked a bit better being that he is the GM’s son; this week, they moved the needle a bit. Not only did JJ get a spot on MizTV, he took shots at the IC champ and ended the segment by handling the host and the Miz-tourage.
I could just copy & paste my comments on Cedric Alexander and Rich Swann, but I won’t be lazy. For one, I am not mad at the guys for staying in the tube; at the same time, I can’t help but feel like this is just a mash-up to fill the Cruiserweight matches on the card.
Nia Jax is still moving everyone else’s story line along. “I beat Nia so I should be considered a contender.” Blah.
The Bobby Lashley vs. Matt Sydal stupid match was profiled. Lashley keeps saying that no one will jump him in line for the heavyweight title. Maybe Lashley is just hard of hearing, and this isn’t a conflict with Sydal but with ability to comprehend English. This feud is dumb as shit.
Allow me to collect my understanding of Grand Championship matches as I’ve been out of touch. So the action can go outside of the ring, and because there are timed rounds, there is no count. Yet the match can end with a DQ as I learned when EC3 interfered. Now to this week’s match with Carter and Moose, EC3 was given the first round even though most of his offence was executed at ring side. If you’re going to consider that in your decision, then shouldn’t it be possible to pin a competitor outside the ring? I don’t know. The whole format seems flawed. But if then again, maybe it’s supposed to be like the US presidential election process.
Low-Ki has embraced his PR heritage by joining LAX. He will now be located in the “Others Worth Noting” section. It was fun to claim him as black while we could.
Others Worth Noting
Low-Ki is a new soldier for LAX. Now he needs to bring that X-Division Title to the stable? The man is still in a suit now with the crew logo stamped on the back.
