Wrasslin’ Noir Recap 11/2

The main roster debut of the Street Profits closed the show as they were set to get retribution from the O.C. For a week, this match was pubbed as the Profits and a mystery partner, but it was actually a tag match against the Good Brothers with AJ Styles at ring side. The mystery “partner”, Kevin Owens was merely an equalizer while Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins did the work to get that first Raw television win. B+

Ring of Honor

Kenny King found it comical to start the ROH standard ensemble 8-man tag match opposite Cheeseburger. Cheese made an appearance without his teammates, while King was teamed with a ragtag bunch for sure. King would also have a chance to face off with Rhett Titus again. Kenny King and crew scored a by way of Josh Woods; Cheeseburger and team would implode afterwards. B+

R-Truth took a moment to put on a match with Buddy Murphy in a segment that naturally saw the 24/7 Championship being paraded around the ring. Truth gave his contractual comedy relief then rolled in the ring to complete the job for Murphy. Following the bell, he was back to chasing the title, literally. C

The Crown Jewel featurette was back on with Ricochet and Drew McIntyre with a few days left until the event. With Rusev busy with own issues, Ricochet was left to perform with Hulk Hogan and Jimmy Hart at ringside. There wasn’t much different from the previous match except Ricochet picked up a victory by way of a RKO during the match. C+

Who wants the smoke? The Street Profits made a request for some, and they attempted to get some from the O.C. by coming to Humberto Carillo’s rescue. A-

WWE promoted a special King’s Court which made its way into the main event slot on the show. Lana and Rusev may have had their moments, but it was Bobby Lashley standing tall by the end of the night with his lips locked with Lana. D

The AXS premiere of the show featured a six-woman match that teamed the Knock Outs champion, Taya Valkyrie, with Kiera Hogan and Madison Rayne. Hogan and Rayne are still working together in their efforts to leave Taya high and dry against their opponents. Although the frenemies have had their problems with Jordynne Grace and Rosemary, they didn’t do much more to continue the hostilities. C

Someone assumed there should be more Desi Hit Squad, and that was given when they took on a Rich Swann and Willie Mack team that seems to be the face go-to tag team. A minor breakdown in the match gave Swann and Mack the edge by the close of the contest. C+

The Women’s Tag Title match would go over without a hitch, but all hell broke loose following the match among all the women vying for the NXT Women’s Championship. Quite naturally, Bianca Belair was in that number as the ten women battled it out before William Regal announced grievances would be aired out in a War Games match. A-

Chris Daniels was taken out of the picture by the Lucha Brothers to set up a big final match up between SCU and the brothers for the AEW tag titles. Scorpio Sky and Frankie Kazarian went on without their brethren to secure the titles in a rather unimpressive fashion but not before giving the Lucha Brothers the challenged they so rightfully diserved. A

Lost in the fall out of the previous show was the fact that Keith Lee was robbed of his chance to become a champion by the Undisputed Era. He was given an opportunity to team with a partner to challenge the tag champions in the main event. Matt Riddle was booked as his partner but eventually fell victim to the same distraction tactics for one more loss. Tomasso Ciampa came to the rescue to seemingly set up the Men’s War Games match. B-
