Wrasslin’ Noir Recap 11/23

Impact!

The good folks of Impact have a habbit of tossing a couple of competetors in a ring to determine a title challenger. The “Triple X” Division Championship was at stake for Willie Mack, Brett Brown, and four other men. All the men, save Brown, spent a considerable amount of time outside the ring. They would watch as Trey Miguel stole the match for his opportunity to challenge the champion in a future match. B-

Another multiple player match was annouced for next week to determine the top contender for the World Title. There were two competitors form that match teaming up to take on Sami Callahan and Madman Fulton. Rich Swann helpted Tessa Blanchard make her case as a championship contender, but he also took a title belt to the face before being pinned to cap off the night. C

The Inner Circle teased the idea of claiming all the titles in AEW and were granted a tag championship match in the main event. Friday Night SmackDown

The title rematch is supposed to be a thing of the past, but somehow, the Revival received one just a week after dropping the titles to the New Day prompting a change in the Survivior Series triple threat match. Thankfully, the Undisputed Era intervened  and attacked both teams. The match was thrown out, the locker room cleared, and the pay-per-view match stands for another week. C

It takes a Legit Boss to get revenge in with the stealth that Sasha Banks did when Shayna Baszler appeared to disrupt Nikki Cross’s bid to join Team Smackdown. Sasha rallied the SmackDown women to challenge the NXT invaders to an 8-woman match. Mia Yim  teamed with a couple of her War Games mates to prove the point that they are for real. Team SmackDown would get the upper hand in the match plus reinforcements to clear their foes from the ring. A-

Raw

Humberto Carillo got the attention of the US Champ and the O.C. enough to get a match with Karl Anderson. Just before they could work their numbers to their favor, the Street Profits stepped to the scene. They didn’t even stop the O.C. from their antics; Montez Ford seized the opportunity to leverage Carillo the pin advantage for the win. B-

The run of the 24/7 Championship continued with R-Truth chasing the Singh Brothers just before a Erick Rowan was set to squash a challenger. Truth saw the danger in Rowan’s eyes and took the high ground for another day. A

The lame storyline did some type of in-ring action this week. It also brought out No Way Jose. He would be set to bring a challenge to Bobby Lashley but eventually was rendered unconcious to a Full Nelson. D-

Randy Orton pulled a suprise move in announcing Ricochet as his tag partner in search of winning the Raw Tag Team Titles. It wasn’t as much a surprise considering they tagged with Carillo last week, and Ricochet’s history with Orton. The match saw no conclusion as the invasive actions of NXT and SmackDown continued to run its course prompting a huge maylay at the end of the night. B+
