Wrasslin’ Noir Recap 3/7


The Dark Order recruiment program was the subject of pre-show activities. With an appearance from the Exalted One looming, Scorpio Sky and Frankie Kazarian were not in a trusting mood for their SCU compadre, Christopher Daniels. They chose to take to the ring without him. The number of Dark Order members provided the excellent selling point to keep SCU from claiming a win, and it was so for SCU to fall in this contest. The Order proceeded with their dominance of fallen opponents until it was a disguised Daniels who came to his team’s rescue. B+


Out the gate, the powers that be paid forward on a Super Showdown beef. Seth Rollins and Murphy granted the Street Profits one final challenge at the tag titles. The Authors of Pain manned the stage while Montez Ford got manhandled by the champs. Rollins beckoned for his enforcers but they were thwarted by the official, who barred them from ringside. Amid all that confusion, Kevin Owens made an appearance that boosted the Profits to win their first stint as Raw Tag Champions. B+

That mess of a situation was followed up by Ricochet challenging Riddick Moss for the 24/7 Championship. It was a flash but not a squash. Lo and behold, Moss pins Ricochet clean. D-


Big Swole made another appearance to represent the women of AEW. Although the segment really served as a means to put on Britt Baker, those in attendance were given a performance that highlighted Swole’s power and speed. She dropped the libriarian with authority. A-

Friday Night SmackDown

The SmackDown Womens Champion, Bayley, was paired with her bestie, Sasha Banks, in a tag team rematch involving Naomi and Lacey Evans as the opposition. The friends proved that they were the best once again as the picked up another victory and held of the heat that is on the Boss Huggers. A-

Sheamus squashed Apollo Crews so fast that it would have been missed with a blink of the eye or a run to fix a sandwich. D

With the Elimination Chamber match approaching, the final entry into the tag title match was to be earned via a six team gaunlet match. The New Day led the way to the ring followed by Heavy Machinery. The two hot teams went to a surprising finish of a Compacter into a 3-count victory. B+
